・About the real train Prototype is the train which connected between Tokyo and Kobe from 1930 to 1943. It was called as "Super Express Train" because the top speed was 95km/h and it connected both stations for 8 hours and 20 minuets. Although Exp."Fuji" was aimed at upper-class travelers, "Tsubame" was done at all class so the composition was included from 3rd class to 1st class coaches. Especially, Tokyo and Osaka already had a large economic zone at that time and Kobe had a port where ferries departed to oversea cities like Shanghai or San Fransisco. That's why the fastest train which connects Tokyo and Osaka is the most important train for Japanese Railway Company. This tradition has been passed on to the Tokaido Shinkansen. The composition is a motif of it in 1932 when the train started stopping at Shizuoka Station briefly. Class C51 Steam locomotive was used from Tokyo to Kobe(it was changed to the same class loco in Nagoya)to reduce the time taken to reach and a bank engine pushed the train when got through passes(Hakone and Sekigahara). It was disconnected after the slope ends even the train was runnning. ・About the product The bodies are based on plastic kits by Max Model. All coaches are assembled in Model Ceder, including coloring, interiors, lights and decals which are produced as new because modelers wouldn't be satisfied with sense of quality when they assemble only as instruction paper. Seats in observation car are made in white metal for stability when running and interiot lights are LED.
